 The Guatemala Reader: History, Culture, Politics is a book about the history, economics and culture of my people. Guatemala is a multicultural country full of beauty and conflict. This book explains how this all intertwines 
It is a very insightful book about the history of so many race in Guatemala. after 37 years of civil war, Guatemala has gone trough a lot and over 200,000 lives have been lost.
I remember every year going to see the the famous Kites of Sumpango for the 1st of November. With my family we had a picnic and send blessings to our grandparents. This book shows this amazing tradition in Guatemala
Rigoberta Menchu is our Peace Nobel and this DVD shows s a documentary on the persecution of indigenous peoples in Guatemala 
I remember reading this in school and it was a shock. Now its been translated to English. It is an Interpretation of Colonial Guatemala.
