1. COFFEE: Coffee is one of my passions and I am very pleased to say you can buy Guatemalan Coffee in Tesco, Asda and Morrisons.
In my case I really enjoyed a cup of Guatemalan fair trade coffee at Puxton Park and was very pleased to find it in the menu!
Witch has voted Taylors of Harrogate Guatemala Cloud Forests Ground Coffee Best ground coffee!!

2. Plantains at Eastern Spice in Weston Super Mare:
I finally found my dear "platanos" in England!
this is one of our staple foods in Guatemala. High in potassium and low in fat are a great alternative to potatoes that are full of starch that breaks down very quickly into sugars... ejem... I won't get very technical here but I have shed a dress size just swapping for plantains and believe me that I have a healthy apetite jejejeje
So try them today and get some latin zest into your life!
You can boiled with cinnamon and sugar or fried with cream and sugar :)
that is a great price for the lot you get.
You just need to soak them overnight, change the water and cook them with 2 onions and 1 garlic and salt until tender.
I use my pressure cooker so it is a lot quicker!
Then you can serve them on top of basmati rice and top up with double cream... just to die for!
Look and you shall find.. that is the saying!
So I did and found there is no excuse not to learn or try because there are so many to choose from! Some are Leroc in Portisheadn Bristol, Nailsea and Congresbury.
Salsa in Bristol and Clevedon
Zumba in Portishead, Clevedon, Weston Super Mare
As I am learning proper English now, I am also teaching Spanish and it has been amazing to connect with my students on why do they want to learn Spanish and how they want to learn.
My first student, Vera in Portishead is 83 yrs old next week and she wanted to learn how to order food in a restaurant.
Full immersion We had a traditional Latin meal and she remembered better now to call each of the cutlery and her confidence grew whilst being in the situation.
Each student has brought me happiness and I hope to have the opportunity to keep teaching more people in UK!
