The tainted windows, the huge organs, the arches and Gothic details kept me mesmerized for hours. It is trully worth a visit and it is my delight to learn history first hand.

I have always loved to travel and now I live in England, I have learned to drive on the left side.
I am not very keen on driving at 70 miles per hour in the motorway, this is 113 km/hr for those of us that used to live in a third world country. It is so different than Guatemala because I could not survive without my trusty satnav. I had to go to Birmingham for a job interview and two hours after I set to drive back to North Somerset, when I thought, I could grab a sandwich somewhere or take a little detour to Worcester cathedral that I have always wanted to see. Worcester cathedral was built between 1084 and 1504 and it has Norman and Gothic English architecture. It is famous for its Norman crypt and unique white chapter house that you can see in my photos bellow. I love English medieval cathedrals and this one did not disappoints. The Cathedral contains the tomb of King John that was King of England from 1199 until his death in 1216. To think that Guatemala is only 150 years old! |
