I joined Cafe Mamma in 2009 when my lovely girl was born.
It was a life line since I just moved from Canada and all my family lived abroad.
Tamsyn and all the peer supporters were very friendly and made me feel very welcome.
First we meet in Avon way and later the group started to grow and we relocated in #Portishead Children Centre.
I learned more about the importance of breastfeeding and when the opportunity to help others came, I was more than happy to become a peer supporter.
The cafe runs every Tuesday from 10-12 where you can get one on one support. There is also a helpline you can call anytime and now we got a Facebook group where you can post your concerns anytime.
It doesnt matter where you come from, as long as you know that breastfeeding is the best start for your baby and you are happy to encourage others to do so, that is the important thing.
So if you are interested in becoming a peer supporter then please call us 07816 366370. or complete the form clicking here and someone will contact you to chat it through.
Alternatively you can send an email at email@example.com or join us on Facebook

Have you heard about Social enterprises?
"What are social enterprises?
A social enterprise is a business that trades for a social and/or environmental purpose. It will have a clear sense of its ‘social mission’: which means it will know what difference it is trying to make, who it aims to help, and how it plans to do it. It will bring in most or all of its income through selling goods or services. And it will also have clear rules about what it does with its profits, reinvesting these to further the ‘social mission’" To find out more go to: http://www.socialenterprise.org.uk
I am hoping to set Latin cooking workshops and salsa lessons for the community in Worle and Weston Super Mare :)

We just finished our questionnaire and we are looking for as many voices as possible to have your say in the #BigWorle
Every year BIG gives out millions of pounds from the National Lottery to good causes. Our money goes to community groups and projects that improve health, education and the environment
What is Big Worle?
A Big Lottery Fund called Big Local gave £1,000,000 to an area in Worle to improve, invest and tackle problems in the community.
We need your input for this!
It will only take 5 minutes of your time, but it will make a big difference because every voice counts!
The recommendations of this research will presented Monday 29 July at St Marks Church at 6 pm. Also trough the Big Worle website, local newspapers and in Youtube.
Please tell your friends and if you live, work of volunteer in this area, get in touch with me. :)

What can you do to help?
Reporting? We need you to let us know when you spot a rough sleeper in your local area. We want to prevent anyone from having to spend more than one night on the streets so by getting help to the person quickly, we can try and prevent that from happening.
Volunteering? There are many opportunities to volunteer with organisations working with rough sleepers. Please see the directory for your area and give the service you are interested in a call. If they are not able to help, they will put you in the direction of the best placed organisation.
Donate? Many homelessness services rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses to ensure we can continue to provide vital services to vulnerable and homeless people.
Fundraise? You can make a real difference in your own community by raising vital funds for local homelessness services
A BIG THANK YOU !!!
